The monthly mentions usage is the maximum volume of data that Mandala can provide every month according to your package, this volume is measured by mentions. Your mentions quota will be renewed at the end of each monthly bill cycle.
The number of keywords also depends on your package; however, this is not a monthly quota. If you have reached your maximum quota of keywords, you can delete a campaign or remove unused keywords and your quota will be replenished. Alternatively, you can upgrade your package for more keywords.

The Monthly Mentions Usage is the maximum volume of data that Mandala can provide every month according to your package, this volume is measured as per mention. Your mentions quota will be renewed at the end of each monthly bill cycle.

As the word cloud is simply a suggestion aid to help users identify related keywords, users cannot edit the word cloud.

Sentiment is an Indication of the emotion and feelings expressed within the mention. Sentiment is categorized as positive, negative, and neutral emotions.

Mandala Analytics takes the metrics of interaction and engagement of mentions, analyzes them according to set KPI criteria, and attributes a score out of 100.

Mandala Score is a rating calculation using Mandala Analytics’ algorithm, many factors that are analyzed such as Engagement, Interaction, etc.

You can view data by region on the Geolocation tab, which is only available for the Twitter platform and only shows data that allows access to the location of the tweet. Location data can be sensitive and is strictly limited by the platforms’ user privacy policies.

To use the note function, click the Add Note button, type your note in the box and click ‘OK’. Your note will now appear in blue text under the mention. Only you can see your notes.

The Save Channel function allows users to save all mentions from the selected channel for viewing later.

-Click Advance Mentions Filter in the top right of the page.

Due to the large amount of available online data, it isn’t possible to predict how much data will be gathered or to know whether the system has collected all the data. If a campaign is set to Active, the system will continuously gather and analyze mentions for the campaign. We  recommend the following:

1. Check whether the amount of data gathered is sufficient for analysis or not.

2. Set the campaign to Inactive so that the system will stop collecting mentions.

To export mentions data individually:

-Go to the Mentions Console.

-Select the Platform and search for the Mention you want. When you find it, select it by ticking the box on the left of the mention.

-Once you have selected the mentions you’d like to export, click ‘Export’ in the top right corner, then enter the email you want to receive data in the Selected Filtered Mentions box and click the ‘Download’ icon in the format that you prefer (Excel or CSV).

You can export the data* from your campaign. To select which data you’d like to export, open the Export page by clicking ‘Export’ in the top right corner of the Social Analytics page.

*does not include Facebook or Instagram data

To export data:
-Go to the Social listening Analytics page
-Click the ‘Export’ button in the top right corner

-The Export page shows the options for exporting data, including which data you would like to export.
-Add the email address that you want to send the exported data to and click the ‘Download’ icon in the format that you prefer (Excel or CSV).

You will see an Over Limit Premium Keywords notification when you have reached the set quota amount for Premium Keyword. To replenish your quota, you can either remove unused keywords or upgrade your package.

When browsing mentions, you can use your mouse to highlight any word(s) within a mention, right click, and add the word to one of your keyword sets, or excluded keywords.

When adding keywords, using the minus sign between two words tells the system to gather mentions containing the first word but NOT the second word.

Example: If you add ‘cheese -burger’ you will be shown mentions that include ‘cheese’, but you will NOT be shown mentions which include ‘cheese burger’ or any mention that includes both words.

When adding keywords, use the plus sign between two words to gather mentions that include both words, but not necessarily adjacent. The two words can appear anywhere in the mention.
Example: If you add ‘cheese+burger’ you will be shown mentions which include ‘cheese burger’ and you will also be shown mentions such as: ‘burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and cheese’

The data shown will match the keywords the user added, this includes the use of spaced words.
Example: If you add the keyword ‘homemade’, you will be shown data which includes ‘homemade’ but NOT mentions which include ‘home made’ or ‘home-made’. If you add the keyword 'homemade’ you will be shown mentions which include ‘home made’ but NOT ‘homemade’.

If you add a keyword with a hashtag ‘#’ in front of it, the system will collect only mentions that contain the keywords with a hashtag.
Example: if you add ‘#Fried Chicken’ you will be shown data which includes the ‘#Fried Chicken, but NOT the data which includes ‘Fried Chicken’.

However, if you add a keyword without a hashtag, the system will also collect mentions that contain the hashtag.
Example: if you add ‘Fried chicken’, you will be shown mentions which include ‘Fried Chicken’ AND ‘#Fried Chicken’.

Excluded Keywords are keywords that you want to the system NOT to gather mentions of (these are sometimes called negative keywords).
Example: if your keywords include ‘bulls’ but you don’t want to see results for the Chicago Bulls basketball team, you could enter the word ‘Chicago’ into Excluded Keywords and those mentions will be excluded, giving you more accurate data.

Popular Keyword Suggestions are similar to suggestions that appear in a search engine search bar when you type in search terms. They are suggestions to help you in choosing the best keywords for your campaign. Simply click on any of the Popular Keyword Suggestions to add it to your keywords.

To input keywords go to 5.CAMPAIGN KEYWORDS PLANNER on the Create Campaign page or Edit Campaign page.

To view data by time frame:
- Click on the Data Time Frame menu
- Select the date you want to view the data, then click Apply
(if you want to view the historical data, make sure the campaign date is set up to collect historical data first.)

Because of the vast amount of information online, the system can't guarantee that the mentions of specific channels will be stored. If you wish to monitor a channel, this can be solved using the Focus Channel function. This function will prioritize that channel’s data in the system.

To recover deleted data:
-Go to Mentions Console and open the Advance Mentions Filter
-Go down to Deleted Mention (bottom of page), select ‘Yes’ and click ‘Search’. Only the deleted Mentions will be displayed.

-Now click ‘Undelete’ in the Published Date column.

To view only deleted mentions:
-Go to Mentions Console and open the Advance Mentions Filter
-Go down to Deleted Mention (bottom of page), select ‘Yes’ and click ‘Search’

The system will then only show the deleted Mentions.

If you find a mention that you’d like to delete, simply click the red ‘delete’ (trash can) icon.

You can filter the search results to view the post comment as follows:

1) Go to the Social Analytics page.

2) Then go to the Mention Analyzer on the menu.

3) Select the Channel Comment option.

There can be multiple reasons as to why the system may fail to show enough, or shows less data, such as:

a) The user has set a historical time frame that their package doesn’t support. Another reason could be that there are still no mentions on the web that references the keyword.

b) The data for the broad/popular keywords are easier to gather and hence load, whereas it might take the system longer to load the data for the specific keyword. For example, the data for broad keywords like “chicken wings” will load faster when compared to the specific keyword, “plant-based chicken wing”, as the latter is a less popular term on the web.

c) Once the user creates a campaign, it might take the system 3-6 hours or less to gather and load data.

There can be multiple reasons as to why the system failed at providing data. Such as:

A mention is any time that a brand, a person, or any chosen keyword is used in a post, comment, or other online content. For example, if we choose to collect mentions of the keyword ‘burger’, this Youtube post is considered a Mention, because the video’s caption includes the word ‘burger’.

Exclude Channel is a function that allows you to stop seeing mentions from a particular channel by removing those mentions from your data feed.

To add or remove a Custom Channel, open the Edit Campaign window and scroll down to 3. PLATFORMS AND CHANNELS DETAILS

Focus Channels are special data lanes that allow users to focus on particular public channels (non-owned channels). Mandala Analytics will prioritize the channels and gather mentions from these channels before any other channels.

Social media providers allow access to their platforms through registered accounts. The only way that the system can access the platform is by connecting a Social Media account.

Interest Channels is a way of filtering data by industry. Interest channels are public channels (non-owned channels). Mandala Analytics will prioritize interest channels and gather mentions from these channels before any other channels.

To use Focus Language:

On the Edit Campaign page, scroll down to 4.LANGUAGES and click on the Focus Languages search bar. Select the languages from the drop-down menu. Multiple Focus languages can be selected.

By selecting Focus Language(s), you are telling the system to prioritize the collection of data in the selected language(s). The system may still collect data in other languages, particularly if there is more than one language used in a mention.

This depends on the purpose of the campaign. For example, if you are interested in capturing data of a specific time frame, you should not select ‘Always on’ because the system will be collecting excess data and using up mentions quota unnecessarily. If you want to continuously monitor, you should select ‘Always on’

By selecting Always On, you are telling the system to continuously collect data for that campaign, non-stop.
