Each social media network has its own KPIs. Cross-network KPIs apply to different social networks and operate in dashboards or graphs. Please pay attention to the description of the KPIs. We display the data from the official APIs. Unfortunately, the networks do not guarantee equality of data between APIs and apps, so there may be slight discrepancies. Mandala Analytics also includes owned metrics, KPIs, calculations, and analysis provided by Mandala Analytics and may differ from social networks.

Focus Channels
Focus Channels are special data lanes that allow users to focus on particular public channels (non-owned channels). Mandala Analytics will prioritize the channels and gather mentions from these channels before any other channels. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Custom Channels
Custom Channels are special data lanes that allow users to focus on particular public channels (non-owned channels). Mandala Analytics will prioritize custom channels after the Focus Channels. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Social Connect
The users must log in with social media accounts to access the Focus and Custom Channel features. The log-in applies to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts and does not apply to YouTube. However, the log-in does not allow Mandala Analytics to access the owner's account level of data.
Projects
Mandala Analytics permits the users to create unlimited sets of projects. There can be multiple campaigns within a single project.
Campaigns
A campaign contains the mentions the user wishes to analyze based on set keywords and the selection of social media networks. Generally, a campaign should reflect on a personal goal or an analysis goal, such as to monitor the coffee trend. For this example, the campaign can be called “Coffee” which may contain keywords such as coffee, cappuccino, latte.
Social Analytics
Social Analytics aims to analyze and monitor mentions from social media platforms. This mode only provides sampling from the general population. Mandala Analytics intelligently allocates, identifies, and selects a quality set of fresh, relevant, most up-to-date and near real-time mentions representing the virtually infinite number of mentions found across the social media platforms. Please bear in mind that the sample data is predominantly public, not owned, and not personal. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Forum Analytics
Forum Analytics aims to analyze and monitor mentions from selected platforms. This mode only provides sampling from the general population. Website Analytics aims to analyze and monitor mentions from web domains across the Internet. This mode only provides the sampling from the general population. Refresh Data
Use the Refresh Data function to refresh the browser and recalculate the metrics displayed in the dashboard and graphs. Please note that this does not relate to updating the data as this will be performed automatically by Mandala Analytics.
Mentions Category
Mentions Category consists of several types of mentions such as compliments, complaints, profane, etc. The mentions classification is automatically analyzed, calculated, and categorized by complex artificial intelligence and algorithms designed/created *? by Mandala Analytics. Mention Type
Mention Types are classified as 1) Channel Mentions: mentions that the channel owner publishes. 2) Engagement: the engagement from any channel. * please see definitions[ooa1] for Channel Mentions and Channel Engagement. Mandala Score
Mandala Analytics uses complex algorithms performed by artificial intelligence to automatically learn, weigh and analyze to provide the KPI for the relevancy of a mention. This KPI is not provided by social media networks but is defined, analyzed, calculated, and provided by Mandala Analytics.
Export
Mandala Analytics permits the users to export data that Mandala Analytics processes. The exported data will be based on Mandala Analytics KPIs and Matrices.
Keyword Type
Keyword Type consists of Premium Keywords and Regular Keywords. Premium Keywords are classified as priority keywords that signal Mandala Analytics to gather mentions before any Regular Keywords. Fundamentally, Premium Keywords should be seen as essential keywords that are more important than common keywords. The prioritization greatly assists the mentions to flow into the campaign in a manageable and efficient fashion.
Keyword Set
A Keyword set contains a group of keywords, both the Premium and Regular Keywords may belong to the same set. The user may add multiple keyword sets in a campaign. Users are encouraged to categorize search objectives in keyword sets to make data analysis more productive in the long run.
Timeline
The Mention Timeline is based on the set timeline to analyze mentions in Mandala Analytics. The maximum historical mentions allowed per account may vary between the subscription packages. Please bear in mind that a deeper and longer historical timeline often reflects a large set of mentions which may cause the dashboards and graphs to load less quickly as Mandala Analytics performs complex calculations.
Top Channels
Top Channels are channels that Mandala Analytics selects as better-performing channels based on mentions (Engagement Mode) or channels that publish more often (Mention Mode). The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Time Analytics
Time Analytics assists the users in analyzing mentions by time. In addition, the feature is helpful to gain additional insights based on time, such as the most active publication time and the best time to post to get the most engagement. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Published Time
Published Time reveals the activity and density of publication time for any given keywords and hashtags. The larger the dot, the higher the volume of mentions published in the time. Thus, the analytics shows the distribution of each channel's active time and/or comments that tend to post. The feature allows the users to plan better and effectively choose the right time to post and engage with the customers and audiences. For example, a Mandala Analytics user may select the right time to avoid the competition or stay smart by pre-publishing a post just before the busy time. Published-Engagement Time
Publication-Engagement time is focused on the sum of engagement for a given publication time. The larger the dot, the higher volume of engagement. The feature allows the users to reveal the best publication time to gain the most engagement. Using this feature, the user may access insights to learn which time is best to engage the audiences. For example, understanding which time to post for the best engagement and knowing what types of content tend to perform well for the given time. Time by Sentiment
Time by Sentiments reveals the type of sentiments that occur based on the publication time. The larger the dot, the higher volume of mentions or engagement. With the ability to drill the dashboard and graphs, we may reveal the type of mention and its content that cause a particular sentiment and allow analysts to understand the dynamic of emotion and content through time. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.

Time by Gender reveals which gender tends to engage based on the publication time. The larger the dot, the higher volume of mentions or engagement. With the ability to drill the dashboard and graphs, we can reveal the type of mention and its content that cause a particular gender to post or engage. Sentiment Analytics
Sentiment Analytics analyzes sentiments by time. This feature helps users gain additional insights based on the sentiments related to the campaign mentions over time. Additionally, Sentiment Analytics is equipped with the levels of sentiments, and keyword and hashtag clouds. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Questions Relationship Analytics
Questions Relationship Analytics assists the users in gaining insight into each type of question from the campaign mentions. Mandala Analytics automatically categorizes each type of question and reveals other questions that may exist in the same mention. For example, a location-based kind of question could coexist with a people-type question. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.

Save Channel
The Save Channel feature allows the user to create a list of channels and place channels of choice into a list. This feature is similar to creating a "Tag." Mandala Analytics will release future updates to make more use of this function in the coming months.
Mention Console
Mention Console allows the users to access all mentions within the campaign in a tabular format without an analytics dashboard. In addition, the mention console is equipped with advanced filters to quickly locate mentions, filter, and perform other operations such as saving mentions into tags and saving groups of mentions into tags. Additionally, a filter can be saved as a "filter template" to reload at any time. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.

Top Mentions automatically provides relevant mentions based on engagements and can be sorted by engagement types—the feature allows users to quickly find interesting mentions based on the preset campaign keywords. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Campaign Keywords
Campaign Keywords are the search terms the users wish Mandala Analytics to gather sample data for from the online media platforms. All the dashboards, graphs, and mentions are based on the keywords set in the campaign settings.
Word Cloud
The Word Cloud analyzes the frequency of words found within the campaign mentions. The feature allows the users to gain additional insights and provides the opportunity to identify other terms that may appear within the campaign mentions. The Word Cloud is beneficial for gaining insights into some important words that we never thought would relate to the campaign. The user may also observe and review the mentions related to these words and even add them to the campaign to gain additional insights. The calculation, analysis, KPI, matrices, and analytics are provided by Mandala Analytics.
Hashtag Cloud
The Hashtag Cloud analyzes the frequency of other hashtags found within the campaign mentions. The feature allows the users to gain additional insights and provides the opportunity to identify other hashtags that may appear within the campaign mentions. The Hashtag Cloud is beneficial for gaining insights into some other hashtags that we might not have considered would relate to the campaign. The user may also observe and review the mentions related to these hashtags and even add them to the campaign as keywords to gain additional insights. Mandala Score Analysis
Mandala Score: Mentions and Engagement
Mandala Analytics uses complex algorithms performed by artificial intelligence to automatically learn, weigh and analyze to reflect the relevancy of mentions.
"Mandala Score: Mention" allows the users to identify mentions that meet the user's set score.
"Mandala Score: Engagement" allows the users to identify mentions that meet the user's set score.
"Overall Scored Mentions" is the overall mentions that Mandala Analytics has already analyzed and scored. Not all campaign mentions will be given a score. However, Mandala Analytics will score more mentions from time to time. Hence, the "Above the score" and "Below the score" combined to produce the "Overall scored mentions."
"Above the score" represents mentions equal to or above the minimum set score by the user.
"Below the score" represents mentions below the minimum set score by the user.
